Certified Plastic Recycling Textile

With research and quality testing, we chose our products to be made of GRS certified rPET (recycled polyester fabric). Recycled polyester is a type of yarn made of post-consumer recycled plastic bottles and each pluffy towel is 100% recycled materials, which is an equivalent to 8 recycled plastic bottles.

Ethical Manufacturing
Pluffy only works with GRS certified Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic textiles.
Our products are close to 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, far exceeding the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) requiring only 5% total recycled plastic. Supporting the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) means preventing the worst types of chemical, social, and environmental processes from polluting the planet.
How it works
Our recycled plastics come oceans and other sources and start their second life at plastic processing facilities where they are cleaned, shredded, melted and spun into the yarn that makes our PLUFFY towels!

We also use Non-Toxic Textile Printing. By using sublimation printing instead of traditional textile processes, we avoid harsh chemicals and the toxic ingredients found in traditional dyes. Textile mills generate 1/5th of the world’s industrial water pollution and estimated to be responsible for 20% of global clean water pollution from dyeing and finishing products. At PLUFFY we create almost no industrial waste! Our inks are free of heavy metals, formaldehyde, and APEOs. This means we only use non-hazardous, non-toxic, and biodegradable inks. Our process produces ZERO wastewater.
Thoughtful Product & Packaging
We avoid over-production, create in small quantities and use 100% compostable shipping mailers. Consumer packaging produces 300+ million tonnes of plastic every year and half of that is for single-use purposes. As sustainable citizens and consumers, we wouldn’t do that to you. We choose post-consumer recycled materials and biodegradable packaging to do our part.
